Matt Pollock, a graphic artist and sculptor, is the executive director of HarborArts, a nonprofit sculpture park located in the Boston Harbor Shipyard and Marina in East Boston. With direct sight lines to Boston’s entire downtown waterfront, HarborArts’ Shipyard Gallery is Boston’s largest collection of contemporary public art.

“My goal as an artist and arts administrator is to redefine and expand Boston’s public art palate by working collaboratively to create, plan and implement alternative arts programming and exhibitions in the city.”

Matt and HarborArts are key partners in Summer on the Waterfront, a three-month annual festival involving thousands of cultural and recreational events along Boston’s waterfront from East Boston through Dorchester. For their work to increase East Boston’s visibility as a vibrant arts community, we are proud to honor Matt and HarborArts among this year’s Harbor Champions!

Congratulations to HarborArts from Atlantic Works on a super successful Festival this past Sunday, Sept. 21. 2013!!  Everything looked wonderful and the marina was just bustling with art seekers!  It was a beautiful day, the Sam Adams was flowing and the music was rumping at the end of the pier.  The raffle winners from the Atlantic work booth to support the HarborArts Foundation will be announced shortly.  Cannot wait to see beautiful some art find new homes for a fantastic cause!

Let us not forget to give a big THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who made this even possible!  Can’t wait to see the photos!  And cannot wait for the festival next year!
