As some of our skills become obsolete and are replaced with new routines, this body of work pauses to provide a digital homage to the chemical processes that were the beginnings of the photographic tradition. “Film Studies” is a series of portraits made of discarded sheet film after years of decay. Time has obscured and devoured the original images, but the imperfections remain as proof of the organic nature of analogue.
