Christine Palamidessi
I am a narrative artist telling stories about humanity, divinity, violence and time. My preferred medium is paper, and I often fold it into human shapes and then apply hardening agents. Sometimes I write and paint the shapes; sometimes I crush the shapes; other times I allow the shapes to resemble stone and artifacts. Always I strive to embrace a particular essence, a humanity, and to invite the viewer to explore inner life and spiritual steadiness. Most of my work begins with plaster imprints of people.
